Gerrit Wyma

Dr Wyma is currently in practice as an Maxillo-Facial and Oral surgeon in Somerset West, doing the full scope of the Maxillo-Facial Oral surgery with a special interest in implant surgery, specifically Straumann implant surgery. He is a fellow of the ITI faculty and chairman of the Southern African Section of the ITI. He is involved in training in ITI surgery and has presented his work at international ITI conferences. He matriculated in Windhoek, Namibia, in 1976 and qualified as a dentist from Stellenbosch University in 1983. In 1990 he qualified as a Maxillo-Facial Surgeon from Stellenbosch University (Cum Laude) and the South African College of Medicine. He has been involved with implant surgery for the last 20 years.
